Create Microsoft account

1Open Microsoft Website in your Browser

Type the Internet address of the Microsoft Website in your Browser: https://www.microsoft.com und load the Microsoft webpage. Directly afterwards you can create your new Microsoft account. 2Sign in at Microsoft and create Microsoft Account

Click on the Microsoft Website on the top/right button with the label "sign in". On the next page, you can progress and take the next steps to create a new Microsoft account for you. On the next page, click on the link saying "create one!". With a click on this button, you are going to start to create a new Microsoft account. In the following pages, Microsoft is asking you for some personal data like phone number (for Microsoft 2FA) and similar information which is required for your new Microsoft account. After filling this forms, you can proceed to the next steps.

3Individual Microsoft E-Mail, Name and more

Insert your full name in the first two fields in the Microsoft form, e.g. John Smith.
In the field "User name", insert your personal Microsoft e-mail address: You can choose whatever you want! Your new Microsoft E-Mail will then be john.smith@outlook.com. Put your personal Microsoft E-Mail in front of the "@"-character into the field. Your e-mail address for your new Microsoft account must have at least 3 characters to be valid. 5Microsoft account: Sign off and secure log out

Click in the menu onto the very last link with the label log out to logout of your Microsoft account. It is important, that you do this after every login at Microsoft. Only if you completely sign off of your account each time, your data is protected and secure, not only your personal Microsoft account data but also your credit card number etc. If you do not logout your Microsoft account, other people may use your computer and send e-mails in your name or use your credit card for online shopping.
